Would it surprise you if I said that this place is one of the more laidback "prisons" I've ever been to? Not counting the games where we're forced to kill each other, of course.

That depends on your definition. But before this, I was stuck in another dimension completely. And before that? I lived in a lab for twenty years.

That's right. My powers aren't exactly common in my world, and the government likes to take advantage of that. Or they did.

Yes. Papa wasn't a "therapist" like my mother thought, or anything so innocuous. He was a senior research scientist. The director of the facility I was kept in, all under the thumb of the US government.
