[ Hey Henry, are you in your room? He sure hopes so because that portal at the foot of the bed is flickering open, a darkened room in the library on the other side.
Alec promised not to track any dirt or grime into the place, but he kind of forgot about that. He hobbles through the portal, looking a bit dirty, a bit pained, but most striking of all is how the knee of one pantleg is torn, the fabric soaking through with blood. ]
Hey. [ He sucks in a breath between his teeth. ] Gonna need you to hold me up.
[ The second he lets go of his Enhancements, he will fall over. ]
[He doesn’t like dirt or grime or blood in his room, no, but the situation’s different when Alec’s injured. When he appears at the foot of his bed so suddenly that it does actually make Henry startle, the sight stills him for a half-second, and then he’s up on his feet from his perch on the bed to offer him support.
He has an arm around him in an instant, but at an angle in which he can still assess just what’s happened. Eyes rake across his form. It looks like he’s just come fresh off a scuffle, but what stands out is the state of Alec's leg, his knee. Blood.
Concern pinches at his brow, of course, but there is a strange intensity in Henry’s gaze that is hard to parse. Like it could be either fire or ice.]
[ The instant Henry's arm encircles him, Alec lets go of the magic keeping him upright, and exhaustion floods his body near instantly. He sags against the other man, gritting his teeth as pain flares anew through his leg. ]
Got in a scuffle. Promise it looks worse than it is.
[He brings him to the closest place to sit, which would be at the side of Henry's bed. And he's gentle when it comes to easing him down, acutely aware of the way Alec's now leaning his weight against him, but once the other man is settled, he's immediately crouching down somewhat to get a look at where the fabric's been torn. Where the blood soaks through.
It doesn't look good at first glance, no. Promise it looks worse than it is is barely a balm against the flare of very dangerous vexation on Alec's behalf. (Who would do this, who would dare harm him-)
[ Oh, that look on Henry's face has Alec concerned. Things between him and Sprezzatura are tenuous enough without this in the way, and while Alec doesn't particularly care for the woman himself, he's not out to sabotage what few other connections Henry has.
He frowns. ]
Help me get cleaned up first, then I'll tell you. I can open a portal to the clinic if you want me to.
[Probably for the best. Not knowing who did this claws at him, and though Henry puts on a gentle demeanor, the anger he keeps hidden beneath is always closer to the surface than most realize, ready to spill over in often violent ways. And with someone or something that would harm Alec? It exists on a hair-trigger.
But the request, coupled with choosing to believe when he says this isn’t a terribly serious injury, has him relenting for now. He frowns and stands.]
Open a portal. [To the clinic. Henry can gather up the supplies. Working as an orderly with children who sometimes suffered injuries via their daily “exercises” has lent him the knowledge enough to patch up less serious mishaps.] I’ll tend to your knee.
[ That's enough of a concession for Alec. He waves the portal to the library closed and etches out another series of runes, opening the portal at the end of Henry's bed to the clinic waiting room instead. ]
[He's wordless as he steps through the portal, disappearing from view to rummage about for supplies. He comes back soon enough, too, with what's basically a first aid kit and a little extra, moving to set it all down on the bed beside Alec.]

[Unfortunately, he does not mean this in the sexy way. Rolling up the pant leg all the way over the knee is too messy if the whole point is to clean it, not to mention inconvenient.]
[ Alec waves the portal shut again. No need to have it sitting open for just anyone to come across. At the command, his eyebrows go up. ]

[Ah, but this time, Henry doesn’t so much as acknowledge the quip. It rolls right off of him as he preps a round cotton pad with disinfectant alcohol, moving back down into a crouch to focus on where Alec’s blood stains his skin. It’s as though it’s a fixed focal point, and his attention is unwavering from it.
It makes him seem… intense. Or rather, without purposefully smoothing it over with his usual act of friendly politeness, this is just the norm now laid bare.
Though when the blood is swept away, the injury really doesn’t look so bad at all, and this quiet severity seems to recede ever so slightly from his demeanor. But not completely. He still needs the full story.]
[ Alec haas been on the receiving end of many such treatments for cuts and scrapes and far worse. He doesn't so much as flinch when the disinfectant stings. He just watches Henry while he works, sees some of the tension eke out of him as the blood is cleaned away to reveal a minor wound at best. ]

The mattress dips beside him, and his gaze turns to Henry. His eyes travel the line of his profile while he digs around in the stuff he brought from the clinic. ]

[The pills clack around in the bottle as he pops off the top and shakes out two. He hands them over to Alec.
